Dalat Cathedral is located on Tran Phu Street, Dalat City, near Du pack Hotel.This is one of the most antique and typical architecture constructions of Dalat. Dalat Cathedral is also the largest church in Dalat City. Another name of it is the Chicken Church since there is a statue of a chicken on the top of the tower. The Church is constructed from 1931 to 1942 with the length of 65 meters, width of 14 meters and height of 47 meters. You can see the top of the tower from many places in the city. The upper part of the walls is decorated with 70 colored plates of glass which bear the stamp of the Europe architecture style in medieval period. Every year, in Christmas day, people visit this church to experience the sacred atmosphere and also to go for sightseeing. Besides, Dalat also comprises many smaller churches each of which has distinctive features.
